Tripoli Rocketry Association Prefecture # 60 (ICBM)
National Association of Rocketry Section # 648 (ROSCO)

The field at Orangeburg, SC, is used by two clubs. The clubs share responsibility to run the launches.

TripoliSC or ICBM has two types of launches. ICBM has research weekends and weekends that split between research and sport / commercial.

The NAR or ROSCO sport launches are sport / commercial only.

Walston RF Trackers are available from our club at the launch site.

We fly at the Super Sod grass farm located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. We are located near I-26 and off US 301. Detailed map information is available at the club web site. Please see our launch schedule to help plan your visit.

The address is 3086 Five Chop Road, Orangeburg, SC 29115.

All launches have a 10,000 foot maximum ceiling.  Launches are generally held every month on the second full weekend (the weekend of the second Sunday). The launch calendar for 2015 is as follows:

Jan 10-11 – ROSCO Sport Weekend

Feb 7 – 8 – ICBM Sport Saturday / Research Sunday

Mar 7 – 8 – ROSCO Sport Weekend

Tear-down occurs before dusk or at the Prefect’s or Senior Advisor’s discretion. Remember, the Prefect or Senior Advisor reserves the right to delay, change, or otherwise cease launch operations at any time for any number of reasons, including weather conditions, safety considerations, and regulatory matters.
